MARCH BREAK - Hawk & Hare Unplugged

MARCH BREAK - Hawk & Hare Unplugged In-Person

Registrants must be 9 to 12 years old. Please Note: If you cannot attend this program, please call or email the library so we can fill your spot with someone from the waitlist.

Waaboz (hare) is looking for food, and Mshikekek (cooper’s hawk) is hunting for Waaboz. During this unplugged coding activity, you will work in teams to collect food and safely return home while learning about reciprocity, ecosystem balance, and sustainability.

You’ll have to adapt to a series of obstacles that Waaboz and Mshikekek encounter in real life and listen to your teammate's coding commands!

This program is in partnership with TRACKS (Trent Aboriginal Cultural Knowledge and Science) which facilitates dynamic, land-based youth programming that braids multiple scientific approaches by centering on Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
