Observed annually on March 8, International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The global theme for this year is “Accelerate Action” and we’re joining the Kawartha World Issues Centre (KWIC) and Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre (KSAC) in hosting this year’s local community event.

Doors will open at 12:30, following the rally (see KWIC & KSAC) for an afternoon of music, revving speakers, and community. Light refreshments will be provided—registration is encouraged for in-person attendance!
